Windows 7 on virtualbox4/21/2023 GRRRRRRR!!!!!įinally a log appears after I tried to run the installation of Windows 8.1 32 bits. Now the problem is the same when I turn off the VM or Reboot. I disabled the Audio and low the memory from 4 GB to 3 GB and works. THIS ONLY HAPPENS ON THE IDEAPAD LAPTOP, who is newer than the Thinkpad. I've been trying to run this machines for several days now. The VirtualBox freezes starting the installation and there is NO logs on it. I signed the kernel, run the /src/vboxdrv, I changed the boot in BIOS to secure and EFI, I installed the Guest Additions, and nothing.Īlso, If I try to install a new VM with Windows 7 or plus IT IS THE SAME. I've been checking all the options that Google shows. If I choose the option "Force" it happens again and again (I've been trying this for more than 20 minutes) and if I choose the other option, the main screen of VirtualBox close but not the screen running the VM, until I click on the close button, and appears the same message. You can choose wait for a moment to continue or force the application to finish". When I trie to run the Windows 7 machine, the virtualbox freeze and after a few secconds appears a message saying "Oracle VM VirtualBox is not responding. I exported the two machines for import both in the ideapad, but only the Windows XP machine works there. In the Thinkpad I have no problems running the two VM I have there, a Windows XP 32 bits machine and a Windows 7 64 bits. Both laptops have the same version of VirtualBox (6.1.38_Ubuntu r153438 for the Thinkpad and 6.1.38 r153438 (Qt5.15.3) for the Ideapad). I have two laptops running with Ubuntu 22.04, an Leonovo Thinkpad T510 (1 TB HDD, 8 GB RAM) and a Lenovo Ideapad i3 (1 TB HDD, 16 GB RAM).
